Term and Conditions

By booking a service with Gleaming Cleaning Services, you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These policies help us provide reliable, professional service while protecting both our clients and our team.

Booking Confirmation

Submitting a booking request does not guarantee a reservation. Once we receive your request, we will contact you by phone, text, or email to confirm availability and finalize your appointment.

Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service

Gleaming Cleaning Services reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if our cleaners encounter unsafe working conditions, threats, harassment, excessive clutter, biohazards, the presence of weapons, disconnected utilities, or any conditions that may pose a risk to health and safety.

If the condition of the property differs significantly from the information provided at the time of booking, we reserve the right to adjust pricing, modify the scope of work, or decline service.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

To ensure consistency and reliability for all clients, we require a minimum of 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling requests.

  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may be subject to a charge of up to 50% of the scheduled service.
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, same-day cancellations, or appointments where access to the property cannot be provided may be charged the full value of the scheduled service.

Service Fees

Quotes are based on the information provided at the time of booking and our professional assessment of the property.

If the actual condition of the home requires substantially more time or work than anticipated, we reserve the right to adjust the quoted price. Any significant changes will be communicated and approved before proceeding whenever possible.

We reserve the right to re-evaluate rates if the scope of work, frequency of service, occupancy, furnishings, or overall condition of the home changes.

Payment Policy

Payments may be made by credit card or E-transfer.

Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Gleaming Cleaning Services reserves the right to charge the payment method on file for completed services, cancellation fees, lockout fees, or any outstanding balances.

For bookings secured by E-transfer, a deposit may be required at the time of booking.

Satisfaction Guarantee

We strive to provide the highest level of service possible.

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your cleaning, please contact us within 24 hours of your appointment. We will review the concern and, when appropriate, return to address any missed areas at no additional charge.

Refunds are not provided once a service has been completed.

Cleaning Team

All cleaners working with Gleaming Cleaning Services are carefully vetted before joining our team. We take pride in selecting trustworthy individuals who provide professional and accountable service.

Additional Services

Additional services may be available for an extra charge, including but not limited to:

  • Heavy-duty cleaning
  • Pet hair removal
  • Interior appliance cleaning (oven, refrigerator, freezer)
  • Interior cabinet and drawer cleaning
  • Interior window cleaning
  • Blind cleaning
  • Wall washing
  • Tile and grout cleaning
  • Garage cleaning
  • Patio and balcony cleaning
  • Dishwashing
  • Laundry services
  • Decluttering and organizing
  • Carpet cleaning and specialty services

Additional services must be requested and approved before the appointment.

Pets

We are happy to work around pets whenever possible. For the safety of both your pets and our cleaners, we ask that pets be secured if they become anxious, aggressive, or interfere with the cleaning process.

If a pet presents a safety concern, our cleaners may discontinue service.

Preparing for Your Cleaning

Our pricing is based on our cleaners focusing primarily on cleaning tasks.

To help us provide the best results, we ask that floors, countertops, tables, and other surfaces be reasonably cleared before our arrival. Excessive clutter may require additional time and result in additional charges.

Use of Homeowner’s Equipment

If you request that we use your vacuum or other equipment, Gleaming Cleaning Services assumes no responsibility for damage, maintenance, or repairs related to homeowner-provided equipment.

Services We Do Not Provide

For health and safety reasons, we do not provide:

  • Mold remediation
  • Hoarding cleanup
  • Removal or cleaning of human or animal bodily fluids
  • Blood cleanup
  • Feces or urine cleanup
  • Biohazard cleanup
  • Cat litter box cleaning
  • Bird cage cleaning
  • Any service requiring specialized hazardous material handling

Access Limitations and Heavy Items

For safety reasons, cleaners will not:

  • Climb higher than a standard step stool
  • Move furniture or objects weighing more than 35 pounds
  • Perform exterior cleaning requiring ladders or specialized equipment

Clients are responsible for moving heavy items if cleaning behind or beneath them is requested.

Damage, Breakage and Loss Policy

While every effort is made to treat your home and belongings with care, accidental damage can occasionally occur.

Any claims regarding damage, breakage, missing items, or service concerns must be reported within 48 hours of the appointment.

We are not liable for damage resulting from:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Improper installation of fixtures or furnishings
  • Pre-existing damage
  • Unsecured wall hangings, décor, or fragile items
  • Undisclosed fragile or valuable items

Photo Documentation

Gleaming Cleaning Services may take before and after photos for quality control, training, documentation, and dispute resolution purposes.

Photos will never be shared publicly without the client’s permission.

Rate Adjustments

Rates may be adjusted if there are changes to:

  • Cleaning frequency
  • Property size
  • Number of occupants
  • Furnishings
  • Renovations or remodeling
  • Overall condition of the home

Clients will be notified of any significant pricing changes.

Lockouts

Please ensure our cleaners can access the property at the scheduled appointment time.

If we are unable to access the property, we will attempt to contact you. If access cannot be arranged within 30 minutes of our arrival, the appointment may be cancelled and charged at the full scheduled service rate.

Alarm Systems

If your home is protected by an alarm system, please ensure it is disarmed prior to our arrival or provide clear instructions and any necessary codes.

Failure to provide access may result in lockout charges.

Recurring Service Discounts

Discounted recurring service rates begin after the initial cleaning appointment.

If recurring services are skipped or the frequency is reduced, pricing may be adjusted accordingly.

Non-Solicitation of Gleaming Cleaning Services Cleaners

Our cleaners are valuable members of our team. Significant time, resources, training, and administrative costs are invested in recruiting and retaining quality staff.

Clients agree not to directly solicit, employ, contract, or hire any current or former Gleaming Cleaning Services cleaner outside of our company for a period of 12 months following their last service appointment.

If a client hires or contracts a cleaner directly during this period, a placement fee of $2,500 shall be payable to Gleaming Cleaning Services.

House Keys

Upon termination of service, any client keys in the possession of Gleaming Cleaning Services will be returned within 48 hours or on the next business day.

Arrival Window

While we make every effort to arrive at scheduled times, exact arrival times cannot always be guaranteed due to traffic, weather conditions, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Appointments are generally scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. If we are running significantly behind schedule, we will contact you.

Holidays

Gleaming Cleaning Services does not provide regular cleaning services on statutory holidays.

If your scheduled service falls on a statutory holiday, we will contact you to arrange an alternative date.

Client Access Arrangements

If a client chooses to leave a key under a mat, leave a door unlocked, or provide access through any unsecured method, Gleaming Cleaning Services shall not be held responsible for theft, loss, or damages resulting from that decision.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.

Changes to These Terms

Gleaming Cleaning Services reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The most current version will always apply to services booked with our company.
